Oops I did it again: Introducing my brand new blog

Hello and welcome to my new blog! I blogged for the first time waaaaay back in 2007. Some of you may remember. My blog was called Diva Drive and I hosted it on my Freeway Fashion web site. Not a lot of people were blogging back then and a part of me wishes I would have stuck with it, but life called me in another direction so I stopped to pursue other opportunities.

I’m going into this hoping I can at least share something new and helpful weekly. My schedule is pretty hectic at times, but I want to be dedicated to this new endeavor and give you all my best. I plan to include some video content as well as soon as my home office/studio is complete. I believe if you try something new and it doesn’t work, it’s okay. At least you tried and maybe all you need to do is make little adjustments in order for it to work. Move on and find another way to try it. There’s a saying that goes something like, “there’s more than one way to skin a cat” and although I don’t particularly like the sound of it literally (because I love cats), I totally get it.

The key is to find your passion and then find a way to incorporate it into your life. Once you know what your true passion is, paint it, repaint it, shape it, reshape it, mold it, try it on for size, try it on again, until it finally fits. And remember, one size does not fit all. It just has to fit YOU. I LOVE fashion and I also love to write so it makes sense for me to try and give this blogging thing another go!

One thing I know for certain about those of us who follow our passions, we make mistakes. Boy, do we make mistakes. But I’ve learned that past mistakes are merely valuable feedback. Learn from them. Grow from them. And never be afraid to start over. I have somehow always found a way to make all my passions work for me.

My blog will hopefully be helpful to those who find it and choose to follow along. Feel free to reach out to me and let me know if there are specific topics you want me to cover.

Thanks for joining me on this journey!

Laura
